Heather Fisher is board certified in three clinical specialties:
As an accomplished expert in the specialized field of addiction and co-occurring disorders (when a dependency on drugs or alcohol happens in conjunction with a mental health concern), she is known for successful outcomes in the most complicated cases.
Heather Fisher is highly skilled at recovery coaching and negotiating change, using motivational techniques such as tactical empathy and emotional intelligence while preserving her clients’ privacy, dignity, and respect. She has extensive experience working with individuals struggling with substance use disorders or behavioral or process addictions. She is also skilled in helping those looking to manage mood disorders. Her success comes from a firm belief that it’s not just about getting someone into treatment. It’s about getting the family back on the same page.
Currently, she is the host of The Recovery Report, an informative treatment resource for people seeking help with addiction and mental health. She is also featured on local and national media outlets discussing addiction, codependency, and relapse prevention. Heather Fisher is successfully piloting a 12 Step AA and Alateen adolescent meeting within the Scottsdale Unified School District, which led to multiple on-campus meetings throughout SUSD and speaking on behalf of the Arizona Governor’s Youth Commission.
